UGNAYAN: The Philippines in Asia, Asia in the Philippines

brief description: 

An exhibition, mounted by MASN in 2009, featuring the Ifugao binudbudan or traditional tie-dyeing weaving technique and the textile collection of the Asian Center of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.  UGNAYAN stresses the criss-crossing currents in Asian crafts-making, reflective of cultural exchanges and influence in the region.

Isang Daang Katao, Isang Daang Taka 

brief description:

A benefit project in support of the taka tradition of Paete Laguna and the conservation and exhibition program for the revival of the Asian Center Museum.

Organized in relation to the celebration of the centenary of the University of the Philippines.

brief description:

A project aimed at promoting Philippine Craft Traditions through guided visits to craft communities and interaction with the artisans. 

Strengthening Partnerships in Development for Indigenous Peoples

In celebration of the Indigenous Peoples' Week, MANLILIKHA through efforts of the UN Information Center and the Asian Center has set-up an exhibition that highlights the varied cultural identities of our country.
